Author Wes Ferguson to hold book release at KAP Literary Center

Author Wes Ferguson will hold a reading and book signing in conjunction with the release of his new book, The Blanco River, at the Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center in Kyle on Saturday, April 8.

The reading will be at 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Ferguson is an author and journalist whose work has appeared in Texas Monthly and other publications. Ferguson co-authored The Blanco River with Jacob Croft Botter. Botter is an award-winning photographer who has served as adjunct faculty at Louisiana State University and Tulane University. The pair also co-wrote Running the River: Secrets of the Sabine.

Presenters will include a photographer, mapmaker, geologist, botanist and flood survivor who contributed to the project, in addition to the authors.

The event is sponsored by the Burdine Johnson Foundation.
