About the Newsroom

As a distinguished institution of higher education, Texas State University is a place where ideas are born and boundless curiosity captivates our community. The Newsroom, run by University Communications in the Division of Marketing and Communications, is the front door for communicating these ideas and activities to the public.

Within the Newsroom, you’ll find stories and press releases describing the university’s latest innovations, brightest minds and most successful programs. You’ll also have access to logos and official photos for use when communicating about Texas State. Explore the archives to view our body of work, and check the media mentions to see what people are saying about us.

The Newsroom acts as the primary contact for all press inquiries and location filming requests for Texas State. In times of crisis, the Newsroom is one of several outlets the university uses to share information.

The Office of Media Relations manages daily media requests for information and faculty experts as well as generates media coverage to increase public awareness about the university’s outstanding students, faculty and premier programs.
