Texas State University’s student recreation center has been named one of the top 25 university recreation centers in the nation, according to LendEDU.com.

The student recreation center at Texas State ranks 24th on the list. LendEDU cites the many fitness resources available to students, including aquatic programs, rock climbing and boxing. The 196,000-square-foot facility also has an indoor golf simulator.

The University of Illinois heads the list. Ohio State University, Vanderbilt University, University of Akron and Auburn University round out the top 5. Texas State is the only Texas university named to the ranking.

LendEDU based their rankings on the Google reviews of each facility, the available fitness resources, intramural sports and clubs and square feet per student. The full list may be viewed at lendedu.com/blog/college-recreation-centers.
