The offices of Human Resources and Parking Services at Texas State University have been selected by the Texas Higher Education Human Resources Association (THEHRA) and the Texas Parking and Transportation Association (TPTA) as the recipients of the 2016 THEHRA HR Innovation Award and the Outstanding Parking Program Award, respectively.

The Human Resources Office was awarded for its innovation in creating Texas State’s new Nepotism Tracking System. The criteria used for selection of the Innovation Award include quality, efficiency, added value, replication, creativity and effectiveness. Nominations for the development and successful implementation of innovative programs were reviewed by HR professionals across the state.

The Parking Services Office was awarded for its integrated transportation system that is fiscally stable. TPTA recognizes an appreciation of excellence in parking design, equipment, construction and operations among the industry and the general public. Nominations for the awards were reviewed by the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Parking Association, experts in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction and operations.
