(Clockwise from top) Nolan Blair, Chas Harvey and Lauren Rutherford star in the Texas State production of "A Behanding in Spokane."

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University will present the black comedy play, A Behanding in Spokane, from Nov. 6-9 at 7:30 p.m.

This event will be held at the Patti Strickel Harrison Foundation Studio Theatre.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.  Tickets are available for purchase at www.txstatepresents.com.

A Behanding in Spokane centers on a man’s desperate search for his missing hand that was lost 27 years prior in a bizarre railroad accident, two bickering lovebird scam artists with a hand to sell and a lonely receptionist.

The play is written by award-winning Irish playwright Martin McDonagh and directed by Daniel Anderson.  A Behanding in Spokane is McDonagh’s first American-set play.  The play premiered in New York City in 2010 with lead actor Christopher Walken.
