An American Mathematical Society Epsilon Fund grant to Texas Mathworks program at Texas State University-San Marcos will help fund scholarships for the 2010 Honors Summer Math Camp (HSMC).

The AMS grant of $12,500 will ensure that interested students can attend the six-week program held at Texas State, regardless of financial background.

The Epsilon Fund, which has made gifts to the HSMC 10 times, awards grants of up to $15,000 in support of summer mathematics programs for talented high school students. The HSMC joins nine other programs, including those affiliated with Stanford University and MIT, in receiving the award this year.

The annual Mathworks HSMC, which this year will be held June 20-July 31, is an intensive program that offers challenging courses for gifted high school mathematics students.
