The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University-San Marcos presents Steven Sondheim’s musical classic Company Oct. 15-25.

Directed by Richard Sodders, performances will be Oct. 15-18 and Oct. 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor Glade Theatre on the Texas State campus. The Glade Theatre is located on the west side of campus off Moore Street.

Set in the 1970s, Sondheim’s ground-breaking musical follows Robert, a 35-year-old bachelor who has been unable to commit to a long-term relationship, and his circle of married, once married or soon-to-be married friends. Eventually, Robert learns that relationships are not going to be perfect, but they are a necessary part of “Being Alive.”  The music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, winner of six Tony awards, an Academy Award and the Pulitzer Prize.

Admission is $10 for the general public and $7 for students with a Texas State ID. For additional information, call (512) 245-8548.
