Some Texas State facilities impacted by San Marcos boil water notice

Jayme Blaschke, Media Relations | November 13, 2020

Some Texas State University buildings have been impacted by the City of San Marcos' boil water notice issued on Nov. 12.

With the exception of Bobcat Village, Texas State dining and residence halls are not included in this notice. A list of all university facilities impacted is available at Texas State Boil Water Notice. For information about steps to take while under a boil water notice, visit CDC Boil Water Advisory.

The citywide boil water notice will remain in effect until Saturday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. The boil water notice is the result of construction damage to a major San Marcos water main. This is a precautionary measure as the city reports that there is no evidence of contamination.
