Texas State University's St. David's School of Nursing has been named among the Best Online Master's in Nursing programs for 2022 by U.S. News and World Report.

Texas State was included at No. 43 nationally. The Ohio State University, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of South Carolina tied for first overall.

For Texas State's listing, U.S. News and World Report described the program as one where the majority of graduate-level, online nursing classes are recorded and archived so that students can access lecture material at their convenience. In addition to online course work, students are provided face-to-face instruction and skills practice two weekends a semester to enhance their learning. Students are afforded personal attention by expert nurse practitioner faculty with low student to faculty ratios. The St. David's School of Nursing boasts a state-of-the-art simulation center and a standardized patient program.

Highly ranked programs have strong traditional academic foundations based on student-instructor access, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.
