Free COVID-19 Testing Options for Faculty, Staff and Students

Vice President for Student Affairs | November 20, 2020

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

Demand for free COVID-19 testing has increased as people consider the risks of traveling and social gathering over the holidays.  If you are having trouble registering for a free COVID-19 test on either the San Marcos or Round Rock Campus, there are other options available for free COVID-19 testing.  In San Marcos, a mobile testing site is available daily at the Outlet Mall between Pottery Barn and Lululemon.  For those in Round Rock, a mobile testing site is located nearby in the parking lot of the Georgetown Public Library and available Monday-Friday.  For more information or to schedule a test, click on one of the following testing websites:

The free PCR COVID-19 tests involve a painless oral swab test with results available by e-mail or text message within 48 hours.  Pre-registering for the tests is recommended but you may also walk-up and register for testing at each site
