The acclaimed folk/Americana duo Robin and Linda Williams will headline the Supple Music Series at Texas State University Feb. 7.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

A duo known for their rich harmonies and original songwriting, Robin and Linda Williams have thrilled folk, bluegrass and country audiences throughout America for more than 40 years. From their many appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, The American Radio Company, Austin City Limits and The Grand Ole Opry, the Williams’ music reaches deep into American traditions and, in the words of the Richmond Times Dispatch, “encompasses all that’s best in country music.”

Their stirring concerts have earned them a huge body of fans over the years, but as gifted songwriters Robin and Linda have earned an even rarer honor: the devotion and deep respect of their musical peers. The list of artists who have covered their original songs include some of the greats of country music, including Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, George Hamilton IV, Tim and Mollie O'Brien, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea and the Seldom Scene.

Admission for the general public is $12. Texas State faculty and staff admission is $10 and Texas State students is $7. Parking is available in the Edward Gary Street Garage. Tickets may be purchased online at txstatepresents.com.
