Valarie Van Vlack, treasurer in the Division of Finance and Support Services at Texas State University, has been selected for the 2019-2020 National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Fellows Program.

The NACUBO Fellows Program offers a year of intensive development for higher education professionals who aspire to be chief business officers in their next roles. NACUBO Fellows work together and with higher education presidents, provosts and chief business officers to enhance their leadership, financial communications and change management skills.

Van Vlack is among 14 business and finance leaders from colleges and universities across the country selected to participate. The cohort will first meet in July before the NACUBO 2019 Annual Meeting in Austin.

"The NACUBO Fellows Program offers critical training and support for the next generation of college and university chief business officers," said NACUBO President and CEO Susan Whealler Johnston. "We are thrilled to welcome these 14 impressive fellows and help to set them and their institutions up for long-term success."

NACUBO, founded in 1962, is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,900 colleges and universities across the country. NACUBO works to advance the economic vitality, business practices and support of higher education institutions in pursuit of their missions.
