During an educational and networking trip to New York City to visit public relations, media and advertising firms, 15 Texas State students from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication had the opportunity to visit with TXST alumnus Cole Harrell (pictured bottom center) who is a traditional African art collector and dealer living in New York.

Texas State University students from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) visited New York City though the Study-in-America program, Jan. 5 – 11. During the trip, the students met with several advertising and public relations firms and professionals, including some Texas State alumni. Texas State University Advancement hosted an alumni reception for the students to meet Bobcats living and working in New York City. A total of 15 SJMC students traveled to NYC under the leadership of Charles (Chuck) Kaufman, a senior lecturer in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (pictured above second from the right, bottom row).
