Texas State announces faculty promotions, tenure for 2018

SAN MARCOS – Texas State University has promoted 37 faculty members and approved tenure for 24. The measures will take effect on Sept. 1.

Promoted from associate professor to professor (with academic department in parentheses) were Elizabeth Erhart (anthropology), Karen A. Gibbs (physical therapy), Mina S. Guirguis (computer science), Jason P. Julian (geography), Clarena Larrotta (counseling, leadership, adult education and school psychology), Douglas G. Morrish (agriculture), Janet Payne (finance and economics), Maria Alejandra Sorto (mathematics), Martha K. Spradley (anthropology), Barry D. Stone (art and design), Hassan Tajalli (political science) and Alexander White (mathematics).
