Texas State's Lindzey Duval named 2017 IIDA Student of the Year

Lindzey Duval, a 2017 interior design graduate of Texas State University, has been named the International Interior Design Association Student of the Year.
The Student of the Year award recognizes a student association member whose insight, involvement, and leadership have significantly impacted his or her school’s interior design program. The award was presented to Duval during the IIDA Annual Meeting on June 11, at the Contemporary Museum of Art in Chicago.
“Lindzey’s passion, drive, and enthusiasm for the interior design industry are apparent in her commitment to her school’s interior design program, her campus center and her academic work,” said IIDA Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst. “Moreover, Lindzey understands the power of design to connect people and make a positive and lasting impact on society.”
Duval also served as president of the Texas State IIDA Campus Center. She previously served as the chapter's membership chair and public relations chair. Duval recently completed internships with the firms Lauckgroup and Jauregui Architect, both in Austin.
