Ross Gay to hold reading, signing at Wittliff Collections, KAP Literary Center

Author Ross Gay will hold readings and book signings at Texas State University’s Wittliff Collections on Thursday, September 22  and at the Katherine Ann Porter Literacy Center on Friday, September 23.

The Wittliff signing will be at 3:30 p.m. on the seventh floor of the Alkek Library. The KAP Literacy Center signing will be at 7:30 p.m. in Kyle.

Gay is the author of Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, winner of the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award and the 2016 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, as well as Against Which and Bringing the Shovel Down. He is a founding editor of the online sports magazine Some Call it Ballin', in addition to being an editor with the chapbook presses Q Avenue and Ledge Mule Press. Gay is a founding board member of the Bloomington Community Orchard, a non-profit, free-fruit-for-all food justice and joy project.

The event is sponsored by the Lindsey Reading Series, the Department of English at Texas State, the Burdine Johnson Foundation and the Wittliff Collections.
