The fall issue of Hillviews magazine is now available in digital format and may be viewed on your PC, laptop, tablet, e-reader or smartphone. The free app can be downloaded at this link:  www.ua.txstate.edu/campus-connections/hillviews.html.

The new issue, “Innovation & Exploration,” features stories about science and engineering as  Texas State University is moving on a path to becoming an Emerging Research University with studies in the STEM   (science, technology engineering, and math) subjects becoming the ones that result in careers and research. Green computing, space exploration, saving endangered species, and breakthroughs in the treatment of deadly diseases are just some of the stories inside.

Hillviews for fall also looks at a pair of Bobcat football players who have moved on and up to the NFL, the future of bowl games in the Sunbelt Conference, a former Bobcat track star who is coaching his Midwestern team to championships. We explore the Common Experience theme and the salute to the five women who were honored as ‘trailblazers’ for Texas State earlier this year, a photo essay on Bobcat Build, profiles of alumni who are creating art and writing books.

The Hillviews app does not replace the Texas State Mobile app for iPhones and Androids, which is primarily used by current students. The Hillviews (HV) app is a free digital edition of the magazine with added content such as videos and audio.

Hillviews, printed three times a year, is free to members of the Texas State Alumni Association and Family Association. The digital edition is available to everyone for free.
