Texas State hosts Texas Tribune Hot Seat with Campbell, Isaac

Texas State University will host the next Texas Tribune Hot Seat forum featuring State Senator Donna Campbell and State Representative Jason Isaac Dec. 3.

The event will be held in the Reed Parr room on the 11th floor of the J.C. Kellam building on campus. A light lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with discussion about the 83rd legislative session following at noon. The Hot Seat conversation series is hosted by universities across the state. For visitors, hourly parking is available in the Edward Gary Street Garage (located at 405 N Edward Gary St., cost not included in registration).

Campbell, R-New Braunfels, was elected in 2012. She served as vice chairwoman of the senate nominations committee, and as a member of the education, jurisprudence, transportation, and veteran affairs and military installations committees. Campbell has served as the medical director for several hospitals, including the third-largest emergency medicine group in the country.

Isaac, R-Dripping Springs, was a transportation consultant before winning election in 2010. He is vice chairman of the house rules and resolutions committee. He also serves on the environmental regulation and economic and small business development committees. He founded the Hill Country Caucus.

The Hot Seat is underwritten by the KDK-Harman Foundation, with additional support from AT&T, BP, Christus Health, the Texas Coalition of Dental Service Organizations, the Texas Hospital Association and Texas A&M University. Tribune events are also supported through contributions from our founding investors and members.
