Central Texas Writing Project hosts 15th annual Teachers' Conference

The Central Texas Writing Project will host the 15th annual Fall Teachers' Conference Oct. 6 at Texas State University-San Marcos.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Alkek Teaching Theater on campus.

The conference's theme is "Creating Spaces for Critical Literacy: Negotiating Global Connections and Technology Integration" and will feature a keynote address by Vivian Vasquez.

Breakout sessions will be led by Central Texas Writing Project teacher consultants, teacher fellow and curriculum and instruction faculty.

Admission for students is $10 for preregistration and $15 at the door. The event is sponsored by the Central Texas Writing Project, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Office of Educator Preparation and Teacher Fellows.
