‘Emerge & See’ features choreography from faculty, guest artists

Merge Dance Company presents “Emerge & See” Feb. 23-24 at 7:30 p.m. in Evans Auditorium at Texas State University-San Marcos.

Tickets for the event are $10 general admission and $5 for students. Tickets will be sold at the door starting at 6:15 p.m. both days and should be purchased with cash only.

The concert will feature the work of Mexican artist Rocio Luna, Kim Olson of Denver, Colo., and Texas State dance faculty members Kaysie Seitz Brown, Michelle Nance and Ana Baer. The show will also incorporate several multimedia performances by integrating dance with digital art.

Merge Dance Company was started in the spring of 2009 by dance faculty and is committed to presenting multimedia performances with an aesthetic that weaves social and political art through high quality entertainment. The company consists of the Dance Division’s ethnically diverse group of gifted students. Merge is a touring ensemble with the goal of recruiting populations who reflect Texas State’s multicultural mission.
