Merchandising professor to lecture at Buda Chamber of Commerce

Pauline Sullivan, associate professor of fashion merchandising at Texas State University-San Marcos, will give a presentation, “Place the Secret to a Distinctive Local Identity for Town Centers,” to the Buda Chamber of Commerce 11:30 a.m. April 11.

Sullivan spent a sabbatical year studying town center management as a visiting research fellow in the school of management at the University of Surrey in England. For the last 20 years her research has focused on consumer value and shopping area or community vibrancy, which she believes provides a foundation for sustainable economic development.
