Texas State monitoring Central Texas wildfire situation

Texas State is monitoring the wildfire situation in Central Texas. The university is currently working to identify students, faculty and staff who have been affected by the fires.

 

Students impacted by the wildfires who need to notify the university of your situation should contact the Dean of Students Office at (512) 245-2124.  If you need to miss class, please work directly with your professor(s) to arrange excused absences or make-up work. The university is making arrangements to help students who have lost books or other school-related materials in the fires. Counseling services are available at the Counseling Center in the LBJ Student Center. Call 245-2208.

 

Faculty and staff impacted should notify your supervisor. Faculty and staff affected by the fires and who need to take leave should follow the normal leave policy as provided in 04.04.30, found here: http://www.txstate.edu/effective/upps/upps-04-04-30.html . Emergency leave provisions are covered in Section 9.04.
