Texas State University Round Rock Higher Education Center will be partnering with Univision and the Williamson County Hispanic Heritage Committee to host “Empowering Our Youth,” a college and financial aid information fair for the second consecutive year.

The event will take place Oct. 1 from 12-2 p.m. in the Avery Building, located on the Round Rock campus. This year’s list of panelists and presenters include Marisa Y. Limón, Chloe Sikes, Gordon Perez, Elena Culwell and Edna A. Rehbein.

The event is part of “Es el Momento,” Univision’s national education initiative to bolster Hispanic student college participation. All presentations and information will be conducted in both Spanish and English. Wendolyn Morales, Univision anchorwoman, will serve as moderator for the event. When the information fair started last year, it welcomed around 300 participants, including parents, prospective students and community leaders.
