Moonis Ali presented Distinguished Scholar award at tech conference

Texas State University-San Marcos professor of computer science, Moonis Ali, was presented with the Distinguished Scholar award at the 24th International Conference on Industrial, Engineering and Other Applications of Applied Intelligent Systems.

Ali received this award from the International Society of Applied Intelligence for his role as a mentor and general chairman of the conference.

The conference was held at Syracuse University. Ali started this conference in 1988 and has chaired the conference each consecutive year.

Professionals from more than 30 countries attend the conference every year. The first conference was held in Tennessee. Over the years, IEA/AIE has been held in almost every part of the world.

Ali will also chair IEA/AIE-2012 which will be held in Dalian, China.
