Texas State prepares for spring commencement

Texas State University-San Marcos will hold six commencement ceremonies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 12-14, in Strahan Coliseum on the university campus.

Approximately 4,100 students are candidates for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at Texas State this spring.

Degree candidates from the McCoy College of Business Administration and the University College will attend the ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12.

Degree candidates from the College of Fine Arts and Communication will attend the 2 p.m. ceremony on Thursday, May 12.

Degree candidates from the following departments in the College of Liberal Arts will attend the ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13: Anthropology, English, History, International Studies, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology.

Degree candidates from the College of Science and from the departments of Geography and Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts will attend the 2 p.m. ceremony on Friday, May 13.

Degree candidates from the College of Education will attend the 10 a.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 14.

Degree candidates from the College of Applied Arts and the College of Health Professions will attend the 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 14.
