Wittliff Collections host reading by celebrated author Robert Stone

Robert Stone, author of seven novels including National Book Award-winning Dog Soldiers, will give a reading and book signing at Texas State University-San Marcos 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5.

The event will be held in the Wittliff Collections on the 7th floor of the Alkek Library on campus. The reading, cosponsored by the Therese Kayser Lindsey Reading Series, the Department of English and the the Wittliff Collections, is free and open to the public.

In addition to Dog Soldiers, Stone is the author of A Hall of Mirrors, A Flag for Sunrise, Children of Light, Outerbridge Reach, Damascus Gate and Bay of Souls. His story collection, Bear and His Daughter, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and his memoir, Prime Green, was published in 2006. He currently holds the University Endowed Chair in Creative Writing and teaches at the MFA Creative Writing Program at Texas State University.
