‘Technology forecaster’ presents lecture for 21st century at Texas State

Noted technology forecaster Jim Brazell will give a two-hour presentation titled, “The Future is Here: Pathways to Success in the 21st Century,” at Texas State University-San Marcos 7 p.m. March 25.

The event, sponsored by Occupational Education and the College of Applied Arts at Texas State, will be held in room 204 of the Agriculture Building on campus. It is free and open to the public.

Brazell will discuss the future of technology and how it will impact careers and communities in the coming decades.

Brazell is a technology forecaster, public speaker and strategist focusing on innovation systems. Since 2003, he has authored several emerging technology forecasts and briefs in addition to consulting on international technology innovation strategies in Portugal and the U.S. In Oct. of 2009, Brazell’s comments related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) were heard by the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
