Education documentary ‘Race to Nowhere’ to be screened

The Central Texas Writing Project at Texas State University-San Marcos will host a screening of the education documentary Race to Nowhere 6:30 p.m. May 4.

The film will be shown in room 1007 of the education building on campus. Tickets may be purchased for $10 online at or for $15 at the door. Seating is limited to 100 people, and is open to the public.

“Race to Nowhere” casts a critical eye at America's achievement culture in education and what parents, teachers and students can do to change the negative education trends in schools.
