The Office of Study Abroad Programs at Texas State University-San Marcos is encouraging students interested in learning in another culture to attend its bi-annual Study Abroad Fair Feb. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Academic Services Building breezeway.

Representatives from a wide variety of programs will be providing information and introducing opportunities to those interested in studying, teaching, working, and/or researching abroad.

"I hear a lot of great things about the experiences of students who return from these programs," said Julie Harborth, Study Abroad Programs. "Students who study abroad have the opportunity to become immersed in the language and experience the cultures of other countries."

Texas State offers numerous opportunities to study throughout the globe. Study abroad programs operate to develop an appreciation of other cultures as well as teaching students to gain a clearer understanding of their own.
