Chicano author Miguel Méndez to speak at Alkek Library

Distinguished Mexican-American fiction writer Miguel Méndez will present “The Spanish Language Chicano Literature,” at Texas State University-San Marcos on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in the Wittliff Collection on the seventh floor of the Alkek Library.

Méndez has been described as one of the finest and most sensitive writers and a principle voice of socially committed Chicano fiction.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages, Rincón Hispano Universitario, the Student Organizations Council and the Chicano literature class.
