Police find no evidence of violent crime in apartment death

SAN MARCOS – Texas State University police have found no evidence of a violent crime in an unattended death at a university apartment complex.

The body of an unidentified male was found Monday (Aug. 13) at about 3:30 p.m. at the Bobcat Village Apartments on Aquarena Springs Drive in San Marcos.

The body has been transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office for positive identification and an autopsy.

Two staff members of Texas State’s Department of Residence Life observed the body on a balcony at the apartment complex Monday afternoon. They immediately notified Texas State Police who investigated the incident.
