Texas State plans McCoy Hall dedication

SAN MARCOS —Texas State University-San Marcos will formally dedicate McCoy Hall, home of the McCoy College of Business Administration, with a 10:30 a.m. ceremony Saturday, Oct. 21.

The dedication is open to the general public and will feature refreshments and self-guided tours of the facility.
The vocal group Voca Libre will perform, and scheduled speakers include Texas State President Denise Trauth, Texas State University System Chancellor Charles Matthews and McCoy College of Business Administration Dean Denise Smart. Brian McCoy will represent the McCoy family.

McCoy Hall was designed to reflect an atmosphere of corporate environments to promote the development of tomorrow’s business leaders. Extensive use of glass throughout the building provides an open and inviting atmosphere, complemented by artwork that is a mixture of styles and materials with a focus on Texas artists. Special consideration has been given to inclusion of spaces for student use, such as seating areas for study and conversation, group study rooms and space for student organizations to meet. The entire building supports wireless network access.
