Heloise launches national college tour at Texas State

SAN MARCOS—Nationally syndicated columnist Heloise will kick off her national Heloise College Tour at Texas State University-San Marcos Oct. 18 during Mass Communication Week on campus.

A Texas State Distinguished Alumna, Heloise will present “Life Skills 101” 9:30-10:45 a.m. in Old Main 320. She will take questions from the audience and offer door prizes to help students make it through the rest of the semester.


From noon-1 p.m., Heloise will be live on the mall at LBJ Student Center with KTSW radio, where she will take questions from students about topics ranging from relationships to refrigerators. From 3:30-4:45 p.m., she will be back in Old Main to offer insight to aspiring journalists and discuss what it takes to become a successful columnist and author.

On Oct. 17, the day before the presentations, Heloise will stroll the familiar grounds of campus, interacting with students for an audio Podcast to air at a later date.

All events are open to the public.
