Amid the weeping and wailing, there is substantial interest in the last will and testament. In the title role of the clever Schicchi, graduate student Jeremiah Drake offers a rich baritone voice as he schemes to solve the family’s inheritance issues. Other featured performers include Jonathon Subia in the role of Rinuccio, a young man whose marriage to Lauretta (Megan Eyden and Christin Toerner) depends on the favorable contents of the will. Additional singers in the cast include Casey Ford, Jason Slayden, Liz Schwab, Kiwon Kwon, Will Hearn, Amanda Shelton, David Aguilar, Jon-Michael Wallace and Ed Hines.

Soprano Cheryl Parrish has performed operas around the world and is a valued member of the Texas State faculty. This is the seventh opera presentation in two years for Crisara.
