Sondheim's A Little Night Music comes to Texas State

SAN MARCOS — The Texas State University-San Marcos Department of Theatre and Dance presents Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music Nov. 10-13 and 17-20 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 14 and 21 at 2 p.m. on the Main Stage of the Theatre Center on campus.

Based on the Ingmar Bergman film, Smiles of a Summer Night, Sondheim's romantic musical is all about love and love triangles, sophisticated, warm, funny and utterly charming. "A jeweled music box of a show; lovely to look at, delightful to listen to,"raves Time magazine. The production includes such hits as "A Weekend in the Country" and "Send in the Clowns."

Directed by Chuck Ney, under the musical direction of Cina Crisara, and choreographed by Melissa Moncus, this joint production of the Department of Theatre and Dance and the School of Music will be an enchanting evening of song and dance.
